Eight boats entered the Mirror Class racing, held on 27th & 28th August 2011
On Saturday, winds were light and shifty. In Race 1 Norm Ellis was first round the windward mark, closely followed by John Hugo. On the downwind leg, both these boats were so involved for tussling for the lead and avoiding the large Enterprise fleet that they sailed through the finish line contrary to the sailing instructions, and were consequently disqualified. Ian Brown won the race, with Austin Diamond second and Duncan and Fiona Nicholls third.
Race 2 saw John Hugo starting at the favoured right end of the line which enabled him to establish a lead which he held to the finish. Austin Diamond finished second, with Ian Brown in third place. On Sunday, those who had wished for stronger winds on the previous day, were faced with a lot more wind than they wanted. With gusts of over fifty miles per hour recorded in the race area. racing was wisely abandoned for the day. This left the the first two boats tied on equal points, with Ian Brown winning overal by won a race against Austins two second places. The results were as follows:
