Wood hull built by a local school . Trident-UK have confirmed that they supplied the kit.
This boat was advertised for sale for £200
I help with maintenance at a charitable youth sailing base (Bury Lake Young Mariners). We have inherited a Mirror (70759) that was built by a local school and never sailed. There is no centreboard or rudder and the hull has been left to the elements and probably scrap. The full length Bermuda mast, boom and Trident sails have been stored indoors and are as new. Happy if someone just wants the rig, we'll scrap the boat
(Editors comment: I am very alarmed by the state of this boat. Given it was only built in 2013, I would expect a Mirror dinghy, painted and varnished like this, even if left in the elements, to last much longer than this. The inside looks OK, so I guess it was stored upside down (which is very sensible if it's been stored outside with no cover). I am aware that Trident-UK did have issues with a batch of ply and it's possible this boat is made from that ply. If this is the case, the hull will probably have to be scrapped.
She was sold in June.
