Andy & Katie Smith win Navigators & General Mirror Nationals

Two races were scheduled for the final day of the Mirror Nationals at Pembrokshire Yacht Club in force 2-3 with sunshine.

Race 9 got away under a black flag after a couple of attempts using a 'P' start.

Even with the tide only just past high water, the left hand side of the beat paid and it was Arran Holman & Lucy Offord round 1st ahead of Reg Grayson & George Stainforth then Rachael & Amy Jenkins 3rd.  On the 2nd beat the middle seemed more favoured Arran & Lucy were still leading, follwed by Rebecca Stephens & Niamh O'Neill second  then Rory Odell & Lewis Bowen. On the final run  Reg & George got up to take 2nd place behind Arran & Lucy with Rory & Lewis 3rd.

Race 10 also got away under a black flag. With the tide now ebbing the left hand side of the beat was paying . This time it was Arran Holman & Lucy Offord and Nigel Wakefield & Emma Levison rounding the windward mark together followed by Tom Cosier & Nick Pugh. Down the run with the wind dropping slightly, Arran & Lucy pulled away and held their lead to cross the line first followed by Nigel & Emma then Tom & Nick. However there was a protest between the leading two boats which resulted in Arran & Lucy being disqualified.

With a 9th and a 5th from the two races it was Andy & Katie Smith who maintained their lead to win the Mirror Nationals four points ahead of Reg Grayson & George Stainforth who were runners up and also won Silver fleet and Lady helm. Rory Odell & Lewis Bowen were 3rd
