Too Rough For The Fish!

WORTHING greeted its 65 entries with a steady, somewhat onshore wind which remained throughout the weekend at force five and six. This created some problems at high tide, on both days, the last few feet of the beach being a little steep and creating surf. Very few people, however, got into trouble either launching or beaching and there were few breakages.

No Handicap

On 25th June 1973 the Hampshire Constabulary held its Regatta at NetIy Cliff S.C., Southampton Water.

In the P.Y. 101 and above division of boats there were seventeen at the line. Seven of which were Mirrors, four of these being members of the Metropolitan Police S.C., Fleet 104.

Five Years - Six Feet Tall

Glorious sunshine, light to moderate winds, sparkling water - these were the ideal conditions when Hudderslield S.C. held their Mirror Open Meeting on Boshaw Whams Reservoir set amongst the Pennine hills. There were 23 entries from Clubs in the Yorkshire Area and three races were sailed, together with a single handed race.

Brolac Trophy

Sunshine and force 3 to 4 winds greeted the fleet of 47 Mirrors assembled on the 9th and 10th of June to contest the ‘Brolac’ Trophy in the first Mirror Open Meeting to be held on Chew Valley Lake during the summer months.
