Welsh Harp Mirror Meet was created by HannahJ
Hey everyone,

We're having a sort of informal Mirror open at the Welsh Harp (NW London) on January 6th. The idea is to do some general sailing in the morning (not too early!) then some races and tea in the afternoon. I know a few of you were interested in this at the Cam open - let me know if you want to come, and tell your friends!

Post below or email me (email address on profile) for more details.

Hi Hannah,

I'd like to sail if one of the club boats is available...

Is there any chance of getting them sorted out before Christmas?

I will gladly loan my spare spinnaker setup...

Burl

NOR for this event can be downloaded here:
http://ukmirrorsailing.com/events/event.asp?event=277

Please contact me to let me know if you're coming or with any questions. We've got a coach organised for this event now thanks to John McNulty, so it should be a good day. And it won't be too coooold don't be silly! It's never very far to a hot drink on the Harp, anyway.

Hi all,

With the event this weekend we've got about 8 boats already coming, with 4 of those being travellers. If anyone's still interested in coming, send me an email and I can provide details.

Our boat's down there already - dropped it off this afternoon! Can't wait to get back on the water - even if it is January!! Forecast is looking better by the hour - 12 mph winds, 8 degrees and sunny! See you all there on the day!

Great to see you all today, it was a great event!
We had three visiting boats from Cam and Whitstable, and 4 home boats from Seahorse SC. Some good starting practise in the morning with coaching from Ned McNulty was followed by two races in the afternoon, both won by John and Clare in the spinnaker fleet with myself and Poly second, whilst Jack and Charlie won in the non-spinnaker fleet.
There was some very close racing at times, I think we all enjoyed it and had a great day, with perfect weather/wind conditions (c'mon guys, it wasn't THAT cold!). Hopefully we'll be having another event at the Harp at some point.

Thanks very much Hannah and David and all at Seahorse SC for an excellent day's sailing - very close racing, lovely food (especially the tea). Sorry we had to rush off so early, but it was my brother's 40th birthday party, and we had to be there on time!

See you soon,

Burl and Joel
