I expect that will be difficult to work out as a lot of the members will be family members so knowing how many juniors there are in each of these families may be difficult.

I suppose there could be a census....but you'd have to wait 100 years to find out!

Is anyone prepared to divulge here how many members the association has? And how that compares to other classes?

I doubt if anyone (including the RYA) has statistics that can make such comparisons. The Mirrors probably have around 400 memberships of which about half are likely to be family members so; can we assume that this means some 400 children are connected?

About 100 youngsters are involved in squad training of some sort. This leaves a lot of youngsters with the opportunity of being more active in that area.

Membership stats are not a secret and are usually contained in one of the (treasurer's?)annual reports

For example in 2003 membership was 740 comprising of single 198, family 263(total of 516 members) crew 21 associate 5.

I don't have other yearbooks to hand - Check out the reports in the latest yearbook!

Yachts and yachting publish a table each year comparing classes and I am pretty sure membership of associations is in there.
