Thwart sheeted Jib wanted was created by Tartan Barty
Anyone got a used Thwart sheeted Jib lying around that they want rid of? Not wanting anything too new as its just for club racing & teaching the kids to sail but would prefer some life in it!! Looking to spend around £40ish plus postage

Sorry but I missed you previous postings.

Yesterday a racing jib by Suggitt Sails sold on ebay for £36 plus p&p (item #120126178233). Over the past couple of months there have been several sets of racing sails offered for sale, sometimes making over £100 a set.

It might pay you to keep a regular eye on ebay like I do. Use "sailing" as the category and only "Mirror" as the search term and it will bring up all dinghies and fittings (it is surprising how many sellers cannot spell dinghy!). To check sales over the previous month with this search criteria just click on the completed items tab on the left.

Good luck in your quest.

Further to my posting this morning, I have spotted a set of racing sails on ebay. The lot number is #200117650446. This may be of interest to you.

Thanks for the advice Roger

I do keep an eye on Ebay but have found the majority of sails on there are old and well past there use by date!! My current sails were from a kit that was never built so sat in a garage for 10 years so although brand new are the old style. I have set my Mirror up for thwart sheeting and it is sailable but I just want a newish jib that I know is cut right and isn't going for silly money.

If anyone has one.......cash waiting!
