The fibreglass tape underneath the shroud plates has come away from the wood - will it be enough to put epoxy down the gap and clamp it to rebond, or does it need major excavations into the bolts holding the plates on, to remove the whole thing?
Thanks

Difficult to say without seeing it, my view would be as it is summer try your idea of packing it with epoxy until the winter. Mix the epoxy with the filler for making fillets, I believe it is 404 from memory, this will help fill the gaps better and then clamp.
Come the winter you can remove it using a hair dryer to soften it first and then scrape all of the tape and epoxy away to get to the root of the problem if necessary.

Thanks, I'll use some filler. There doesn't seem to be a major problem there, just either the tape wasn't soaked properly in the first place, or water has got in and it's just standing proud away from the wood. I didn't want to go into removing the shroud plate bolts as they're embedded in the side panels somewhere.
