Notes for NJS 2 HISC

Well having had two very windy week ends it looks as if the week end is good for sailing.

We have the NYS joining us

Coaches are…………… Mat Burge the famous Poole Vet and Zone squad ,420 ++ coach
And no less than Rob Struckett is coaching the NYS
We are going to pool our resources and work together most of the time

VIP’s that are coming.
Viv is coming to talk to Mum and Dad and check up on me!!
Adrian Brunton is coming from Needlespar
Charles Ainsworth is coming to look at marketing boats in the south.
You are coming so show the members of HISC how good you are.
Home work
Think and write down five things you can to do in your start routine that help you have a good start in the following situations.
Start 1. 3/4 the way down the line towards the pin.
Start 2. Committee boat end having to keep boats out. Start 3 A port tack raid i.e.. coming in on port in the last minute a nicking someone's space.

Saturday night………
There is a meal booked for the NJS sailors at HISC but as there is a big party on we are eating in the Snack Bar and the NYS are going to Marina Jaks.
Parents might be able to get food at Marina Jaks.

The plan is to Focus on Mark rounding on Saturday and Starting on Sunday.
In all of this we will be looking at tide and who you can use it to your advantage around the race track.

Pre Home work is on the program and if you can please bring your starting planes with you.
Yes Max it doing exams this week so I assume some of you will be doing the same

Harry Y is coming as a helm
Rosanna is bringing here own crew
Emma hasn’t got one cos Lucy is away

Thank-you Pete, matt and Rob for a great weakend. I enjoyed all the races, i feal i have got alot better at starting and tactics of getting round the leeward mark.
