Howard Tear dominates the day.
Dull, damp weather persisted all day for the meeting held at British Steel Corp. (Port Talbot) S.C. on Saturday 16th July. Some 28 boats, including visitors from as way as Southampton and Reading, turned out in light winds for the first race.
Mumbles Y.C. (fleet 49) held a successful Open Meeting in May 1976, and attracted 19 entries from three Clubs. The weather was good, sunshine and Force 3-4 winds for most of the time. The results of the Practice Race were a good indication of how the meeting was to go, with Phil ‘n’ Nig in 'Rastas' winning convincingly.
