The Chichester open on Saturday 15th of October had a very good turnout of 15 boats and a variety of 7 clubs. With very tricky, shifty conditions the boats sailed a tactical race. The first race gold medal was taken swiftly away by Grace Yeoman and Izzy Barker, however on race 2 the number one spot was Isabel Davies and Jonnie law.
The competition hotted up with favourite Nigel Thomas and Millie Moss taking the number one spots for race 3 and 5. For the final race anyone of four boats could have won the regatta, however Isabel Davies and Johnnie law kept their nerve to win the final race and clinch the whole regatta.
This also being the last event in the southern traveller series the class presented Midge and Harriet Watkins the traveller prize just ahead of helms Jo Kalderon and Katie Davies.
