[red]SUMMER CAMP ENTRIES[/red] was created by john mcnulty
The summer camps are for all Mirror sailors from novice racers to zone and national squad members (who are expected to attend) and families wanting to learn to race with the kids. We hope that these camps will be a great way to expand your sailing horizons and circle of Mirror acquaintances and get more from your Mirror sailing and obtain your RYA certificates for your logbook.

The Summer Open Training camps are listed here:

17/18 June - Hollingworth Lake SC
17/18 June - Royal Plymouth Corinthian YC
24/25 June - Queen Mary Sailing Club
15/16 July - Rutland Sailing Club

Go here for online details www.ukmirrorsailing.com/Open%20C ... 20info.htm of all the camps

Entry forms can be downloaded here www.ukmirrorsailing.com/Open%20C ... 20form.pdf or they can be photocopied from pages 21/22 of the 2006 yearbook. They must be accompanied by the vouchers (page 23 of yearbook) if you want the discount. Remember, class membership numbers MUST be included on the form and the forms MUST be submitted before 10th May. Remember to declare the level of coaching you want to do - beginner - intermediate - advanced so that the appropriate coaches can be available.
NB - some venues may be limited in numbers so book early to be sure of a place

The events require a lot of organisation and help on the ground. The Head Coaches will be in charge as event managers but will need help from volunteer supporters. The entry form has a list of duties and these are repeated here to help you be aware of the needs.

These summer training camps are exceptional value for money and are heavily subsidised by your Class Association through the vouchers. If you are not yet a member and want to come you can join the MCA for the cost of a voucher. Click here for the application form www.ukmirrorsailing.com/mca/Imag ... cation.pdf The quality of coaching will be among the best you can get so please be there.
