Hi,

just looked at the site and realise we've missed the training at Dorchester, which is not too far from us (near High Wycombe).

Can any one of any ability attend these and if yes, when is the next please?

Thanks

Jeff

Dorchester training was the first of the Open Coaching sessions in the South Zone. There are loads on the Open Coaching program which can be found by taking the link off the home page - the top news message - or by clicking this link: www.ukmirrorsailing.com/Open%20C ... 202004.htm

Loads of interesting links and info at the top, and the full list of events is a bit further down the page.

As the 'What it is' page will say, its open to everyone although we cannot teach absolute beginners.

Next local Open Coaching is Maidenhead (15 May) with an Open Meeting on 16 May. If you fancy a trip to the seaside over the May Bank holiday, we also have Whitstable (1/2 May)

Open Coaching is open all members, and aims to improve race performance. As a minimum, you will need to be able to rig, launch and sail a basic course. This is a great way to learn about racing, both from the coaches and other sailors. We had a great day at Dorchester, it was very pleasing to see how much the whole fleet improved throughout the day.

Hi Jeff

Which club do you usually sail in and do they have an active Mirror fleet? cos if so I would like to make sure that your club gets invites to future Mirror events at Dorchester! The next is our club regatta over the bank holiday weekend 1st-3rd May, which will include a Mirror class trophy.

Look forward to hearing from you
