Hello Liam
We have booked through a company called Dial a Flight, found them on the internet and were cheaper than Travelbag. We are a family of 9 going so the cheapest flight was important to us!

Just booked with
www.opodo.co.uk

£2.3k for four, flying Southampton to Port Elizabeth, after much research this was the best deal.

Flying from a regional airport seems to be cheaper and for us more convenient, also the choice of days makes a big difference, weekdays the best

Dial a Flight only needed a £50.00 deposit for each person going which helps with the cash flow although Simon's quote looks good, we are going out on the 27th Dec and coming back on the 20th Jan. One bit of good news is that the boats may not need to leave until the end of November, I will keep you posted.

Flying before Christmas-- so more expensive, with Iberia, via Madrid, to Jo'burg, less than £500 each. Internal flights down to the Cape are cheap.

“It is a busy time to travel - often going out on new year's eve can be worth a shot - depends how direct you want the flights to be - nationwide from gatwick into joburg and then change; air namibia via Windhoek and joburg again from gatwick - they both operate three or four days a week. Also there is Quatar airways from gatwick - that means a change in Doha. Best to try the websites such as Ebookers, expedia etc - there are many flights into joburg direct from heathrow or changing via one of continental cities depending on the airline.

A quick check on expedia going out 31 dec returning on 21 jan - shows Swiss air being the best with an all in round trip fare of 460 pounds. That's v good - not sure how much extra the Port Elizabeth extension would be - maybe 100 pounds each. Likely to be best to do it separately as the inclusive fare shoots up by 300 pounds!!â€
