Not sure if this is of any help - comes from a 29er parent that was there last year.

Along with the web link comes the following comments - make up your own mind - note this family flew to the venue and did not hire a car.

Nice location for a quiet holiday
Be prepared to make your own entertainment - reading, cards, games etc
Parents tended to congregate in the local coffee/cake shop during the day
Small town, very small shop, felt a bit stuck without a car.
10 mins drive to big supermarkets.
Taxi from airport was expensive
Launching down two concrete slipways, rocky shoreline not sandy.
Having bikes with you if you are driving over might be nice.
A few nearby locations for days out but need a car to get to.
Very welcoming location, very relaxed

Hi Angus

www.gottskar.com/index_eng.htm

This is the website for the accomodation i mentionned which is within walking distance of the club down a little track. hope it is of some use to you. It was the 'hotel' - self catered apartments for four that we had. There is also some 'hostel' accomodation. I didn't see that so not sure what it was like.

Regards
Jane

For those having trouble getting onto the site, registering and getting hold of the race itinerary and NOR's , here is the link.

gottskar.raceweek.org/

PS. Anymore takers for Sweden, there may be some places on a second trailer, if not then we may have to cancel the second trailer.

Cheers

Please can everyone register

Regards payments, this is by electronic transfer which most banks will charge, if people want we can setup credit card payments for Team GBR entries and balance of trailer money etc and then make one transfer. There will be a cost involved in doing this, but will be cheaper than everyone doing individually. Let me know if this is of interest

For all those trying to enter the Euro's and needing an ISAF number (all of us), just enter something like 'GBR' and it will let you proceed.

Cheers
