My early model Mirror came with jamming cleats - a good thing as I sail single handed. These are now worn and misbehaving. Any suggestions on what to fit as replacements ? Or indeed, what might be an ideal combination of rope and cleat for fast and easy working.

If the cleats are for the jib than Harken are the best however if you can't stretch to 26.00 per cleat try Holt cleats, they nearly all have the same hole centres. The jib sheets that I use are 6mm braid on braid either joined together or tied seperatly. Hope this helps you.

Thanks for that. Should have made it clear that I meant jib sheets.
Cheers

I was having a similar problem, with the jib sheet sliding up out of the cleat. I removed the two cams of the cleat and used a small triangular file to make some new 'teeth'. I've not had the jib sheet jump out since .
