Well done to Simon and Rupert for taking the S/H cause across the Irish Sea. Results not too shabby either. Perhaps we will see some international competition in the future if we carry on promoting this aspect of Mirror Sailing.

With alot of club S/H in the Midlands and the North and a larger bunch of us attending the UK Nationals this year perhaps we should issue a challenge to other countries.

Anybody game for this?

Ruperts and my presence single handing in Ireland opened a few envious eyes of parents left on the shore missing out on the action, so may well see Irish Parents getting out and competing with their offspring.

Results don't really tell the whole story, both Rupert and I were regularly mixing it at the front of the fleet, I even managed to lead Race 4 for a whole lap in an old gaff rigged boat, opening up a healthy lead which I wasted by getting on the wrong side of a large shift.

With planning for the 2009 Worlds in the UK, what about a SH World Championships ?

The gaff and outboard sheeting seemed to be going better than the single piece in the heavy winds and then the large slop on Sunday.
