New building/repairs forums was created by Simon Lovesey
To help the large number of people building and repairing Mirrors we have introduced two new forums to share tips and experiences.

Trello has kindly offered to moderate these and will be going through old postings scattered on other forums to move them to the new categories.

Thanks, is it possible to add the amount you need? Because I've seen you need loads of G clamps.

I am beginning to think you really are going to build one. Enough clamps to clamp the gunwale every 100 - 150mm so lots.

You could do it during the summer holidays, it would take about 2 - 3 weeks to build the shell. You would then need to leave it (ideally) coated in epoxy for about 4 weeks to fully cure before you could start the painting and varnishing.

I found another mirror building blog - this one is currently being built in California. An interesting read.

Makes me want to start building one here in China...
