What is the protective treatment when assembling the casing? I'm thinking of painting the inside before assembly with a coat of epoxy resin before glueing the wood strips on.

John, before assembling mine I painted the inside faces with epoxy mixed with graphite (both West system). It is very smooth and non stick. I masked the areas that would be glued on assembly. I have also coated my centreboard with the same mix, doesn't look too trendy all black, but slides a treat!!
