A dark green Mirror being sailed on a river

1990

Wood hull built by unknown builder

2006

Sailed in the Eastern Areas at Brightlingsea by William Goldsmith & Matthew Harris

2009

Paul Edwards purchased the boat from the Goldsmith (?) family from Blackwater SC

2024

This boat was advertised for sale for £350 , details were:

No longer used, need garage space.

History and condition: Builder unknown, has number 69114 and IYRU badge on transom. Bought about 15 years ago from family who raced the boat as “Catch” (editors note - might be "Patch"?) on the Blackwater. Since then stored in garage except for annual summer holidays. Pretty sound. Part of bottom thinly sheathed recently to cure a split. There remains a slight leak at centreboard case or self-bailer (Elvstrom type).

  • Wood hull, Gunter rig, metal mast, with oars.
  • Sails Trident crisp type (editors note - probably PolyKote) and set well, see picture. There is also a soft sail set from an older boat for sailors who don't like the noise of the crisp sail flapping.
  • Spinnaker was fitted but we unrigged it—the spinnnaker sail, shute and pole and crane are included.
  • Good combi trailer with new wheels and suspension fitted about 5 years ago, with jockey wheel and spare wheel, worth quite a bit on its own.
  • Two good-condition blue Trident covers, boom-up and boom-down.
