Mirror dinghies launching off a sandy beach into a blue sea under a cloudless blue sky

The Notice Of Race for the NeilPryde Nationwide and Western Area Championships hosted by Looe SC over the weekend 11th & 12th July has been published and can be downloaded via the link. The first start is at 1:00PM.

Due to landslips access to Looe has been limited, for full directions to Looe checkout the Looe Sailing Club website. http://www.looesailingclub.co.uk/championships/looe_venue/index.html

Those of you with Sat Nav can use the postcode PL13 1AL, which will bring you to the Dinghy Park. NOTE some sat navs will take you the wrong way to Looe seafront. You need to go along the main street, not up the road where Brian Bowdler lives. So best advice is to read the road signs. You need to go along Fore Street which is in East Looe, turning off the main A387 at the east end of the bridge over the river. Fore Street has a 6' 6" width restriction, goes past lots of shops, is busy with delivery traffic, but it's the best way to get to the seafront.

The Car Park ticket machines on the Quay (the closest to the Promanade where boats are kept) only take £1 coins (no notes), and last year it was £8 to park for the day, so you are advised to bring £20 in pound coins for two days car parking.

Local Accommodation: Looe Tourist Information Centre, The Guildhall, Fore Street, East Looe, Cornwall. PL13 1AA. Phone: 01503262072
