The wind was more westerly, lighter and very patchy for todays racing at the Mirror Europeans.
In Race 6 it was Nacho Lopez & Adam Power in 70508 - Reflection who lead at the first mark, narrowly ahead of the chasing pack.
At the windward mark on the 2nd beat the wind dropped for the mid-fleet boats, so a huge gap opened up. At the start of the 3rd round the wind went very light on the right hand side of the course. The race was shortened at the windward mark. Rory & Oisin MacAllister in 70883 went on to win with Martin Egan & Cahal Langan in 15563 - Blyskawica 2nd and Rob Keal & Cillian Foster in 70237 - North Scales 3rd.
After a short delay race 7 got underway in a light wind with lighter patches and stronger puffs. This time it was Ben & Hannah who took the lead and held it to the finish with Rory & Oisin 2nd and Caolan & Alexander 3rd.
In Race 8 it was Caolan & Alexander who took the lead on the first beat and extended it to the finish. Mel & Sophie Collins continued their consistent form with a second and Ben& Hannah 3rd.
