This boat was advertised for sale for £900 ONO , details were:

I’d like to sell my Mirror Dinghy. It’s a GRP boat, one of the very first from Bell Woodworking, bought at the Boat Show in 1986. The original hull was returned to Bell because it quickly became covered in cracks. This is the replacement hull (from March 1987).

It has not been used for the last 22 years due to us taking up caravanning (can only tow 1).

It is a very clean boat, fully equipped, oars, rowlocks, factory fitted auto-bailer (no spinnaker) sail number 67936.

It has a launch trolley, road trailer and has been fully sheeted over in storage. The spars, dagger board, oars, tiller and sail bag have always been stored in my garage.

She was sold in August to Richard Mortlock.

Richard used an inspection camera to establish that the boat has foam buoyancy, at least in the rear tank. Richard takes up the story: "There was a bit of a ‘give away’ when I observed that each tank had a small circular ‘ghost’ mark in the middle at the bottom where it looked like foam had been injected to the hull." Inspection camera photos of the foam are above.
