Three Mirrors joined our fleet for the Annual Open Meeting.
The FIRST RACE was sailed in light winds and visitors took first and second places and this set the pattern for the day.
After an excellent lunch the SECOND RACE was sailed in a force 2 - 3 with places changing on every beat. However, at the line in first place was David Tunnicliffe crewed by son Andrew from Halifax Sailing Club. Graham Ifould, sailing single-handed, from Rotherham SC came second and Andrew and Tom Hartley, from Ripon SC, third.
The wind remained the same for the THIRD RACE. Again, positions changed throughout Good spinnaker work on the off-wind legs enabled Andrew Hartley to finish first, with Graham Ifould second and David Bland of Rotherham SC third.
