The Association has hired a support/spectator boat for the duration of the Championship.
The “Beverley Rose’ is 36ft long and has VHF, a mobile phone, a chemical toilet, two bunks annd tea making facilities. It is licenced to carry 12 passengers and we will have it for up to five hours each day. It will have a professional skipper.
The boat’s main purpose will be to provide support for Chris Lynham (UK Chief Coach) who will be using the Association’s RIB. It will be carrying large items of spares, particularly on the days when the racing is back-to-back, as well as food and drink for our Team. However, we expect to have 9 or 10 places available each day for fare-paying spectators.
So if you will be at the Championship as a supporter, parent, etc., and would like to get out on the water sometimes and as close to the action as the rules will allow, see me at Milford Haven. Fares will be between £5 and £10.
The RYA has approved our use of the boat in this way
