It's been a brilliant boat show 2026 on the Mirror / Winder stand this year! Happy 50th to Winder Boats and big thanks for sharing the stand with us and to everyone that helped.
Lots of people have stopped by to say 'hello' and It's been great meeting so many people of old and new, hearing their cherished stories of the Mirror Dinghy. Great to hear lots wanting to get back into the fleet, or new families/sailors wanting to join.
We also had a fantastic tuning talk by Champion Ben McGrane.

Steve Long was head coach Mirror Zone squad Team 2006/2007 and ran Q-Mark Sails. He was the owner of the 1st Duffin built Mirror, 70171 - Déjà Vu ! Then owner of Duffins:, 70222 - Whatever! , 70333 - Vengeance, 70455 - Mesmerizer. Recently found Duffin Mirror 70455 and bought back! He found his name on the Nationals single handed trophy I brought along, he won in 2003 at Abersoch.

Tony Dudley owned Mirror number 1 - Eileen !! Tony worked at Jack Holt in Chiswick/ Putney. Jack holt built the boat of course and Tony worked for him. He paid £50 for it. I already knew it now resides in the Falmouth Maritime Museum as I've seen it in there hanging from the rafters!

Also at the show was Darren Roach who has purchased his old boat, Va Va Voom.
[Editors note: On behalf of the Class Association I would like to thank Bob Presley, Ron Vass & Julie Vass for organising the stand, bringing 70606 - Misty Blue, Ben for the tuning talk and lending the suit of sails, and all the Mirror sailors on the stand crewing rota.]
