2026

This boat is now for sale for £249

I need to sell my dad's Mirror. Mostly we'd like someone to be sailing it.

I believe the dinghy was built in 1974. The original owner raced the dinghy and was a member of the Mirror Class Association (paperwork and membership stickers on the boat). The dinghy has not been sailed for decades and to be honest my dad hardly used it past initial enthusiasm; I remember sailing it at Tatton Park in Cheshire, good fun.

The dinghy looks to me to be in very good condition. It has been covered and kept in a dry environment (garage) since last used.

  • There is a trailer but it may well have seized up.
  • There are oars, rudder, daggerboard, sails, Gunter mast, boom all in very good condition.
  • There is an anchor (not sure why) and spare trailer wheels.
  • Measurement certificate issued by the MCA, the RYA will issue a new certificate if you send them a scan of the old one.
