A FUN SAIL FOR CANCER RESEARCH UK
Saturday June 25th 2011, Start 10:30
Having proved ineligible for the Race for Life, Mount’s Bay Mirror sailor Tony Clee has come up with a novel way to celebrate his 85th birthday and raise some funds for Cancer Research UK.
This is an fun “endurance” trial open to all. The winner in each class will be the helm (and crew) who complete the most circuits of the Mount in the time that the Causeway is covered with sufficient water – about 5 hours. Competitors can drop out at any time or stop for lunch (or other reasons) and continue.
Participants can register in the Mount’s Bay Sailing Clubhouse (Marazion) and pick up official sponsorship forms. There is no fee but participants may wish to sponsor themselves in addition to support from friends and family etc. All funds raised go the Cancer Research UK.
Further information and forms from:

If you cannot be there on the day but would like to support Tony in his efforts, please make cheques payable to Cancer Research UK Marazion Branch and send them to Mirror Class Captain, Mount’s Bay Sailing Club, Godolphin Steps, Marazion, Cornwall, TR17 0EN. All donations will be gratefully received.
