6 Mirrors enjoyed some close racing in the Carrick Roads near Mylor on 27th May. In a light southerly, sunshine and an ebbing tide Martin and Harvey led the way on the first race until the final run when Rebecca and Lauren closed up and then overtook to win by inches with Esme and Scarlett 3rd.
After lunch in the 2nd race there was a little more wind and no sun. This time Martin and Harvey kept it together to win from Tom and Nimah with Rebecca and Lauren 3rd.
As the fleet was lining up for the start of race 3 the wind dropped away. Rebecca and Lauren led closely followed by Tom and Nimah with Esther & Lauren Bowdler in "Complete and Utter Chaos" 3rd. Over the next two legs the leading boats had a close tussle with Tom and Nimah narrowly winning to take their 1st bullet. With one discard, 3 boats were tied on 3 points, so the tie was broken by positions in the last race.
