Designed as a stable, general purpose boat that could be sailed, rowed or motored, Mirror dinghies can be successfully used for cruising. In the UK the Dinghy Cruising Association (DCA) is exists to promote the use of sailing dinghies for purposes other than racing. Within the DCA, Mirror dinghies are a much loved boat.
The DCA website has a lot of information and expertise regarding safety & equipment, so I suggest Mirror sailors who want to set their boats up for cruising start there.
The DCA also have a Public Group on Facebook which is a source of useful advise.
