National Youth Development Squad - North
If you would like to try out for a place in the NYDS - North this winter you are required to attend the training at Beaver SC the weekend of 26/27 October. The training will be with Sarah Richards and Emma Grayson, who will also be coaching over the winter with Dave Woodhead. Open Training Beaver SC
All Mirror sailors are welcome to join in with the open training at Beaver on 26/27 October. Training starts at 10am on Saturday, gallery will be open all weekends, camping and motorhomes welcome. For more information please email Matt Grayson
If you would like to try out for a place in the NYDS - South this winter you are required to attend the training at Itchenor SC this coming weekend 12/13 Oct. Training is with Izzy Fitzgerald & Chris Oneill who will also be coaching the squad over the winter. Training starts at 9.30 on Saturday. The National Youth Developement Squad Selection policy for 2013-2014 has been updated.
Last weekend the 13 boats in the North NYDS were at West Lancs Yacht Club for our second coaching weekend. It was another brilliant weekend with a mixture of training, fun, and competitive racing. The main focus of the Saturday was starting, so we concentrated on slow boat handling, stopping, hovering and trigger-pulls. The wind was very light and shifty at the start but built through the day.
