Congratulations to Rosie and Anna Watkins, Matt and Ben Lulham Robinson and Mali Harnett on being selected for the 2012 Transitional Squad in the 420 Class. All have been members of Zone / National Squads in the Mirror Class in very recent years. You can follow their progress in the 420 Class through the link http://www.420sailing.org.uk/.
Many congratulations to Stuart Bithell who, together with helm Luke Patience, has been selected to represent Great Britain in the Mens 470 Class at the forthcoming 2012 Olympics.
Stuart sailed in the Mirror fleets of the early 2000's and was singularly successful with crew Holly Scott, who herself went on to crew the winning British boat to victory in the 2007 Mirror Worlds in South Africa, with helm Anna Mackenzie. The Class is currently fortunate in now having three Olympian sailors selected for the 2012 Olympics (Lucy and Katie Macgregor and Stuart Bithell) and shows the levels to which young sailors can aspire through their association with the Class.
We wish them all good luck.
