Turks Head S.C. held their annual Mirror Open Meeting on Sunday 17th June, the event was well attended by 18 representatives from the North West and North Midlands, as well as from the home club.
Laleham S.C. held their 4th Open Meeting in July. The morning dawned with thunder, lightning and monsoon rain! and the Club wondered if any visitors would show up In fact, apart from 6 Club Members, they were delighted to welcome 13 other boats, including the holder. J. Kemp of Staines S.C. and some well-known Iver sailors.
Lockheed S.C.’s second junior open (crews to be junior too) was held in excellent sailing conditions. Draycote Water S.C. dominated the event with a 1, 2, 3 result.
Sandwich Bay S.C Open Meeting was held on 8th July. 22 boats sailed a series of three races in a steady Force 4 Easterly wind and a rather lumpy sea.
Among the Merlin Rockets, Enterprises, and menagerie of Ragley S.C you find, of course, the ubiquitous Mirror Dinghy. On Saturday, 13th October. the Ragley Mirrors will come into their own, with an Open Meeting all to themselves.
