Massive congratulations to Ian and Ted Dobson for coming 3rd at the Bloody Mary. They lead for the whole race until the last few minutes. This was in a 124-boat fleet, featuring sailors representing 42 boat classes from 62 sailing clubs.
The first race was held in a S.W. wind, force 3-4, gushing 5 at the start, 4 Lasers were in the front of the fleet at the first mark, followed by Mirror 66503, helmed by Terry Hunt of Bough Beech. By the fourth lap, with the wind now 4- 5, he had moved up into second place, which he held to the finish and won by 58 seconds on corrected time.
