Itchenor SC Mirror Newsletter of 9th May is now available.
I have the MCA South Demo Boat at home (Alverstoke, near Gosport) at the moment and currently it has not been booked for the winter training season. The MCA has the boat to introduce new sailors into Mirrors and help with club level training.
The day dawned at Itchenor Sailing Club, a little overcast and grey, 72 children 10 teenagers, along with Parents with RIBs assembled determined to make friends and have fun.
Many congratulations to ex-Mirror sailors Lucy and Kate Macgregor, together with other crew member Annie Lush, who have finished the ISAF Womens Match Racing World Championship in Perth by winning the Silver Medal in todays final. This leaves them in a strong position in their preparations for the Olympics next year, and promises another close contest. Let's hope they are able to sail their way onto the top step next summer. Well done to all.
