The weather was perfect, bright, sunny and warm, with lots of wind: beaver at its best! Before the first race, it didn’t look all that windy but then when we all set off rather large gusts took us all by surprise as we suddenly started pulling on heaps and heaps of controls and hiking hard.
Well what a lovely weekend at Otley, we arrived in rain and cold with heavy, flukey winds but after the briefing the rain cleared and the sun shone.
The 'Live Finals' will take place at 15:15 sharp on both days of the RYA Volvo Dinghy Show (Sat and Sun) on the Volvo Main Stage and will last approximately one hour (5-race fleet regatta with one discard). Racing will be on display on the big screen - making it one of the Show's major highlights.

The South Zone Squad arrived at a windy Datchet Water for weekend 4 of the training series. There was a strong, but steady on-shore wind, and after briefing we launched to concentrate on starting practice, with Windsor Castle on the horizon.
