Just a reminder that The Greenlands Caravan & Camping site opens up their bookings to the public at the beginning of January. Spaces tend to fill up almost immediately and especially for peak times (i.e. July & August). They are very kindly holding 8 tents & 8 campervan/caravan spots for us until the end of the year. They will accommodate more if they know before the end of the year.
Sligo YC have confirmed the dates for the 2023 Mirror Irish Nationals & World Championship as follows:
Worlds Equipment Inspection (measurement) Thursday 20th July
Irish Nationals Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd July
Worlds Equipment Inspection (measurement) and registration 23rd & 24th July with the practice race and Worlds opening ceremony on Monday 24th
Worlds regatta 25th - 29th with the prize giving on 29th July
For the Mirror Worlds 2023, Sligo YC will be unable to accommodate any camping around the club due to the number of competitors, boats, marquee and on site Restaurant and health & safety issues.
So they have negotiated a special rate at The Greenlands Caravan & Camping site which is just a 2 minute walk from the club and provide all the facilities electric , showers and laundry.

37 boats including the reigning National Champions, Ben & Keira McGrane, ex-World champion Chris Balding, ex-National Champion Chris Fuller plus a host of other top sailors, gathered at Hayling Island SC for the Vaikobi UK Mirror Nationals, also sponsored by P&B, from 23rd to 26th July.
Great racing in Bracklesham Bay and the more sheltered waters in Chichester Harbour. Cracking weather, on-site accommodation, a restaurant & beach bar to keep everyone fuelled up, lots of sand, great organisation from Chris & Emma Fuller and the HISC crew.
The 2023 Mirror Nationals will be held at Brightlingsea SC from 1st to 4th June 2023.
